Beware of Scam Sites!

Just now came across a scam site and thought of writing this post striked me. Internet is full of sites which promise you easy millions in short span of time and the funniest part is that such sites are successful in luring people for their false claims. We need to understand that there is nothing like free/easy money in the internet world. Everything comes at a price and working online is no different, here you need to pay your time and attention and that's the only thing you will invest.

In the beginning of my online career, I got registered at one such scam site and it was the only site which didn't payed me. The task was to read the articles posted on that site to get paid. The minmum threshold for payout was 10$ and after reaching 9.50$, the site vanished! I was so disheartened. Reading some articles that were copied from internet and then losing money wasn't the concern but, the embarssment I felt facing the friends and family whom I had referred that fake site can't be described.

The point is simple, just like I had mentioned in my first post, first check out the sites before registering. The sites that can easily be marked as scam are the ones that show currency notes on the landing page. A user gets curious and registers and falls prey to them. People often fall prey to most fraudsters claiming to provide work online at a certain price and in return they give them the CDs/ DVDs containing names of sites providing captcha work or data entry work which is easily availbale online without any charge.

Online Surveys

We have always heard about the term 'online survey' carried out by well-known brands before launching a particular product. So, let's learn how you can participate in these surveys and get some cash in return for the feedback you provide.

Market research companies rely on these survey sites to collect honest opinions about their existing or pre-launched products. The surveys are carried out among the prospective customers. Before you can start the actual survey, a screener is done to ensure the right audience is being addressed and therefore the information such as gender, age-group, annual household income, etc is collected. If you fall in that category, the actual survey opens up.

Screen-outs are absolutely normal and it has nothing to do with your profile. The key is just to be honest and remain patient when filling out the survey. Sometimes there are test questions in the middle of the survey to check if a user is attentive or not.

Some surveys can even give you the opportunity to become a part of a focus group which is managed by Promise Communispace. This company manages several paid online communities which has members from around the world. If you happen to become a member of any of the communities, then you are required to participate in the online activities every week and get the remuneration in return. The payment is done mostly via PayPal but they also offer ther options such as Amazon gift cards, mobile minutes etc.

We have encountered with the term paid-to-click-sites or PTC sites, so lets understand what actually it is.

There are a number of PTC sites available on the internet and the concept is same for almost every such site. They pay users for clicking and viewing it's advertisers links for few seconds everyday. These sites also host other earning opportunities such as trying your luck by clicking on ads hidden under a grid. If you are lucky enough, you can win from as low as 0.5$ to a maximum 10$ in the grid.

You can boost your income by referring others and make money whenever your referral makes some. You can also rent referrals for as low as 0.5$ and get the benefit if they click ads. The PTC sites also host micro tasks of CrowdFlower. These tasks are quite easy and can be completed in a jiffy. Tasks such as image categorization, testing a (guided) web application, looking for company addresses etc. will pay you a minimum 0.01$ per task.

Different PTC sites have different payout threshold. While some would give a cash out for as low as 1$, some would require that you wait till a minimum10$.

Hello Earners,

It's been a while now since I was planning to write this blog. But never mind, better be late than never. This blog is all about some cool ways to earn money online. I won't promise to earn a $$$$$$ income overnight but I would definitely guide you all to 'Earn' some genuine income online.

This ain't the substitute of your monthly income but it's definitely going to help you to clear off those bills around the end of the month.
